Planning Commission

Overview

The Planning Commission is a 7-member, non-partisan committee appointed by the City Council. RCWs 35.63.080 and 36.40.040 define the Planning Commissions duties as the following:

  • Hold public meetings and make recommendations to the City Council on a wide variety of policies and plans such as the Comprehensive Plan, Zoning, and the Shoreline Master Program.
  • Assist the Planning Department (CDS) in carrying out it's legislative duties.

  • 6:00 pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month see the calendar for specific dates.
